Dr. Daniel Cobb

Daniel L. Cobb, MD, moved to Gainesville Georgia in 2008 after obtaining his medical degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and completing a residency program in Neurology. He is board certified in both Neurology and Sleep Medicine by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. In 2016, Dr. Cobb founded The Neurological Center of North Georgia, LLC, combining his experience in Neurology and Sleep Medicine.
Dr. Cobb specializes in general adult neurology and sleep science. He has particular interest in Neurodiagnostic testing and botulinum toxin (Botox) injections. He also currently serves as the Medical Director for the Sleep Disorders Center of Northeast Georgia Medical Center. As Medical Director, he supervises the 2 Sleep Center Locations, ensures the quality of sleep studies, and performs patient evaluations within the center’s sleep clinic. |
Kate Jurgensen

Kate Jurgensen, NP-C, has lived in the Atlanta area for over 20 years. She obtained her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Brenau University in Gainesville, Georgia in 2008. She worked as an ER nurse at Saint Joseph's Hospital in Atlanta for 5 years. While working she returned to Brenau University to pursue her Masters of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner, in 2014. Kate has worked in various specialties including primary care, cardiology, and infectious disease.
Kate began working with The Neurological Center of Northeast Georgia, LLC in 2021, and has been providing care for patients of all ages in sleep medicine, neurology, with specialized training in skin biopsies utilized for diagnosing various neurological disorders. Kate enjoys promoting disease prevention and healthy living in the community. She enjoys spending time with family, friends, and traveling. |
Laura Jernigan

Laura Jernigan is a local Family Nurse Practitioner.
She is a native Georgia peach and has lived in Georgia her entire life. She graduated from Brenau University with her BSN, RN in 2006 and her nursing career began in an emergency department in Atlanta. She moved back to Gainesville in 2011, but continued on to home health where she found her passion taking care of her patients and their families. Furthering her career, She graduated from Brenau University in 2020 with her MSN, FNP, where soon after graduating she began with Hospice and In Home Palliative Care. Laura's most memorable trips would have to be medical mission trips with her church to Uganda, Africa and Honduras. Her free time is spent with her husband, Matt, teenage daughters, dog Bailey and with her church, Concord Baptist. Laura has a desire to meet people where they are, no matter their education or location, and feels that everyone brings something to the table. |
